Baffert’s two charges to win a 2007 Eclipse Award, extended her unbeaten record
to five straight with a stylish one-length victory over Proud Spell in the
$200,000 Silverbulletday Stakes (G3) at Fair Grounds on Feb. 9.

The speedy filly simply ran the
Silverbulletday cast off their feet, stalking beautifully down the backstretch
before taking command heading into the far turn. Just like in her other four
races prior to the Silverbulletday, Indian Blessing opened up straightening for
home and never looked back. She defeated Proud Spell again, as that filly was
also the runner-up to Indian Blessing in the Breeders’ Cup.

Indian Charlie broke her maiden at Saratoga last August and has since won
four graded stakes, including capping her championship campaign in 2007 with an
impressive wire-to-wire win in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies
(G1). In her first start of 2008, she won the Santa Ynez (G2) over Cushion Track
at Santa Anita on Jan. 13.

faster than Pyro ran in winning the Risen Star Stakes later in the
card.
