Adare Manor gave Bob Baffert his second Apple Blossom H. (G1) victory Saturday at Oaklawn Park with a dominating 5 ½-length win in the $1.25 million race for fillies and mares.

The 5-year-old now has six graded stakes victories in her career and has earned $1,736,600 for owner Michael Lund Petersen.

In what was her second start of the year, Adare Manor turned in the best performance since winning the Zenyatta S. (G2) in October by the same margin. After breaking very well from post four, Adare Manor immediately settled into a smooth stride as she took the lead entering the first turn. She travelled well within herself through five furlongs before picking up the pace midway on the final bend. She quickly distanced herself from the field and was all alone in the stretch, winning easily in 1:42.48 for the 1 1/16-miles on a fast track.

"(She) felt very good and very strong," jockey Juan Hernandez said after the race. "I think last time she probably needed the race since she was coming off a couple months layoff, but today Bob Baffert and (assistant) Jimmy (Barnes) brought her ready. They had a lot of confidence in her. She was ready to win this race."

Adare Manor collected most of her stakes wins in 2023, when she won the Santa Maria (G2), Santa Margarita (G2), Clement Hirsch (G1) and Zenyatta during a five-race winning streak. Her overall record is now 8-5-0 in 16 starts.
