Bob Baffert, along with a pair of his stable stars in Executiveprivilege and Bodemeister, were recently named finalists for a 2012 Eclipse Award in their respective categories. The Eclipse Award winners will be announced Jan. 19 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla.

Baffert is in line to win his fourth Eclipse for outstanding trainer. He won the Award three consecutive times from 1997-1999 with the likes of Silverbulletday, Silver Charm and Real Quiet making a huge impact on the sport. In 2012, Baffert's stable amassed $15,047,226 with a 29% win rate and 62% of his starters finishing in the top 3.

Bodemeister, a finalist for 3-year-old male, was a brilliant winner of the Arkansas Derby (G1), as well as runner-up in both the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness (G1). He is the only 3-year-old of 2012 to record four triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures. Bodemeister is owned by Zayat Stables and Mike and Tiffany Moreno.

Executiveprivilege, up for the 2-year-old filly Eclipse, was outstanding throughout the year, winning five of seven starts, with victories in the Chandelier S. (G1), Del Mar Debutante (G1), Sorrento S. (G3) and Landaluce S. She was also second in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1). She is owned by Karl Watson, Mike Pegram and Paul Weitman.
